Citizenship Development Society (CDS) was formed with a strong desire to foster good citizenship value amongst countrymen with a vision which was guided by the preamble of the country’s constitution which aims at securing to all its citizens Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. The Society was registered on 17thApril 1979 under the Societies Registration Act as a non-political, non-sectarian and nom-profit making body. The focus of CDS is on the CITIZEN. Their development holds the key to national regeneration.
With a vast history comes a great collection memories.

A good citizen is the fundamental building block of society. I am happy to know that the Citizenship Development Society is taking special interest in important task of citizenship training. This is an area which has been gravely neglected ever since independence. While everyone is clamouring for rights, there seems to be an untackled proportion of the fact that duties are equally important. Indeed these two sides of the same coin, and will have to go together if India is to become a strong and dynamic nation.
